Dec 2016 - Apr 2017: A ski resort

I've fallen in love with the idea of working from the mountains this winter season -- ideally somewhere with ski in ski out access.

My guess is that there are a number of other nomadic ski bums out there with similar dreams.

This post is to test such a theory by allowing the dreamers to step forward and form a group, or groups, to start house hunting for a season let.

I'll start...

Location: somewhere in Europe (within 2 hrs of airport)
Dates: Dec - Apr/May
Budget: Max 2000EUR p/month PP (inc. bills) (3-5 bedroom place)

Hi there!

This is awesome! I also created a post "for Christmas" saying that I have a friend who has a chalet in Swiss Alps and she is renting it out. I have already been there twice and it is literally 5 steps away from the cable car.
It's a 4 bedroom chalet (2 double and 2 twin rooms) and costs 1900/EUR pp

I share your thoughts on how amazing it is to work from the mountains.

Location: Grimentz Switzerland (reachable from Geneva)
Dates: I'm flexible
Budget : same as you said.

I would absolutely love this.

I'm up for anywhere in the North Hemisphere and would be ok with a budget of up to $2000.

Is this just $2000/EUR per month for rent + utilities or is that budget including all basics, like food and skiing?

USA/Canada you could get a lot lower of a price.

Gudauri resort in Georgia is amazing too, and far, far cheaper.... $12/day to ski about probably the cheapest price anywhere. Incredible skiing.

Also some very good places in Andorra and nearby in Spanish Pyrenees.

I am interested but can't join until January, will be skiing/visiting family in Montana, USA which also is remarkable... look into Whitefish ski resort or Big Sky!

Hey there,

Prices are for the coliving experience meaning rent + coworking space + utilities.
It is 1050 EUR per month for shared room and 1900 EUR per month for private room.

I think it is a fair deal given the proximity to the slopes and the quality of the house.
but enjoy Montana, would love to once try the American resorts

Do you have any capacity for hosting shorter term like 1-3 weeks stay? Sounds awesome still but my time is being split up by some travel commitments!
