Thinking about Split, Croatia in the Summer

I am thinking about Split for a few months as a home base. It's a good location to also hop around the islands. Or a home base in Hvar could also perhaps be more awesome. I am thinking a house or apartment or something like that. Ok let me know what you think.

I have the same sights on Split,Croatia this summer as well. I've been looking at the city center - it is beautiful - and there is a lot of outdoor rock climbing in the area (do you climb?).

When are you thinking (I am playing with June - Aug)

I'm planning to go to Split April 8 - June 1. Less touristic I think.
